I've been unactive for the most part for the past few months, aside from occasionally adding things to my favorites, due in large part to my school workload and general laziness. So.
I haven't really uploaded ANY of the stuff I've made in the past...what, year? Year and a half? Which is sort of a shame, because I'm really proud of what I've managed to accomplish art-wise in that time frame. Most of those are acrylic paintings and animals done in chalk, things that are currently either chilling out in my art teacher's office or hanging on my wall. I would love to upload these, since I'm so proud of them - and my current gallery makes me cringe - so I've decided to re-double my efforts of finding my family's long-lost camera. Of course it'll have to be when I get them back from my art teacher.
Secondly, I finally scrounged up enough money to get a fairly decent tablet for myself, as well as a version of Corel, so I've been experimenting with that and trying to get the hang of it. Hopefully I'll come up with something fairly decent and upload it.
Thirdly, I've finally really dedicated myself to becoming an author, something my English teacher was ecstatic about. My goal has been to write at least 1,000 words every day that I'm not in school, and 2,500 during the week. I've stuck with this goal fairly well, and have about 25,000 words written as of now. It's wonderful what one can do when they set goals for themselves.
Lastly, I've been a bit busy reading The Farseer Trilogy by Robin Hobb, and re-reading A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin (which is even more fantastic the second time through). I was a bit skeptical about the Farseer books, but so far (I'm on book 2) I've quite enjoyed them, despite how I can't seem to really find...the plot in book 2. Maybe I'm missing something. It just seems to be about Fitz fucking his girlfriend, and then occasionally doing relevant things.
